I hope I won't be one of those recipients one hates to write for. Those who demand either too much – half a novel's worth of specific pairings and ten kinks – and those who don't give you any idea of what they really wish for. So I will tell you what I like most about fandoms and fics in general and what I've been longing for in the specific fandoms I requested.
While I read slash, het and gen, I've been mostly into gen and canon pairings lately. I like stories about friendships, family relationships, adventures and I always appreciate a good plot. Since I spend a lot of time reading Game of Thrones fanfic, I am desensitized to most things, but on the whole (especially in other fandoms), I'm not a fan of darkfic and like my happy or at least ambivalent endings. Deathfic (only non-canon, I'm fine with canon death appearing in fics) has been a big no for me as well, just like the detailed depiction of depression and alcoholism . But apart from that, I'm not easily squicked.
As for the fandoms and characters I chose – I'd really appreciate any fanfic written for them, because they deserve more love. If I don't squee myself silly in the comments, I assure you it's not because I don't like what you wrote. I'm just not very good at squeeing. It's a personality quirk and people have given up on asking my opinion on things because a sober “It's good” is all I can come up with. I assure you, if I say “it's good”, I mean it.

1. The Alienist – Mary Palmer, Sara Howard, John Moore: I would like to read fic about any of these three alone, or together. Some of the things I am interested in are AUs where Mary lives, Sara and John getting together, Mary/Laszlo, Sara & or / Mary, John and Mary's relationship with each other, casefic in general or something set pre-series that explores any of these characters more. Fandom-specific DNW: John/Laszlo
2. Babylon Berlin – Alexej Kardakow, Stephan Jänicke, Charlotte Richter, Gereon Rath: I really, really love the 1920s Berlin setting. The slow, sinister unravelling of the Weimar Republic, the politics, the aesthetics and the seedy underbelly of the city. I also love all the characters I requested and would love fic about any of them on their own or together. I'd love to know what Kardakow got up to before the events of the show and what happens in that last confrontation in Paris. Stephan was my favourite in the first two seasons even though it was painfully obvious that he'd die – what if he had survived? How did he end up spying on his colleagues? What about his relationship with his parents pre-series or Charlotte? Anyway, Charlotte is my second favourite. I love her ambition, and her difficult family. I'd love to see her interact with Gereon some more, or with Stephan, or anyone, really. As for Gereon, how will he react to finding out his memories are false? I'm pretty sure his relationship with his brother's wife will fall apart. How will that look? Will he get together with Charlotte (I ship them, but they have some stuff to work out first)? Also, if you feel confident enough in your German, you might consider writing in it. The language added mightily to the atmosphere for me when I watched the series. I'm fine with English too if you're not, though.
3. Renegade X Series – Chelsea M. Campbell – Damien Locke, Gordon Tines: I really crave more about the family life of Damien Locke, particularly his relationship with his father and the adults in his life. I would life to read about how he deals with his crazy mother and her son and husband and his father's family some more. I would also like to get a look at Damien from Gordon's point of view. Maybe a fic about him attending some family gathering or someone throws a party for him when he passes summer school after book 4. What I love most about the books – besides Damien, of course – is the way the characters define themselves by being heroes or villains and the way especially the adults don't deal well with the other.
4. Rivers of London – Dominic Croft, Peter Grant: I really liked Dominic when I read the book and would like him to have another adventure with Peter, either when he's visiting London for some reason (maybe with his fiancé), or when Peter has to go back to Herefordshire to deal with something else that is fairy related. Feel free to include any other canon characters you like! I like them all! Fandom-specific DNW: Peter/Nightingale.
5. Rome – Octavia, Agrippa: I really, really ship these two. I would love to read something about them post-series, whether they get together or not. I love that they have this messy past and that everything is complicated by Octavian, and I've always felt that their story was kind of lacking an ending and that there were things left unsaid. I would love it if you could fill that void, by them talking things out and becoming friends, or by marrying after all.
