First off, I hope you're going to have fun writing for me and that this letter helps. I'd also like to say that I'd like fic for all the characters/pairings/fandoms I'm requesting here, whether it follows my prompts or not. If you have an idea that you absolutely want to write about these characters and it doesn't go against my DNWs, feel free to write it.
My AO3 Name: Rodo
General Do Not Wants: detailed depictions of depression and alcoholism, a story being in both first person and present tense, unrequested non-canonical pairings, setting AUs (like coffeeshop!AUs or space!AUs), non-English honorifics or other modes of address in English language fics (since I’m requesting Korean canons, specifically stuff like -sshi, -ah, hyung, noona, etc.)
General Likes: nuanced friendships and family relationships, complicated interpersonal relationships, stories with a similar tone and theme as canon, casefic, plotty fics in general, complicated interpersonal relationships, post-canon fics, canon-divergence AUs
Now for the canons:
아스달 연대기 | Arthdal Chronicles (TV)
Chaeeun & Nunbyeol: I really love these two sisters. I love how caring Chaeeun is, and how Nunbyeol is so gentle and violent at the same time. I want to see what the future has in store for both of them. Will they go look for the Neantals? For revenge? For Eunseom?
Eunseom & Saya: I want these two to meet, finally, whether it is as enemies or reluctant allies, as long as they finally meet. Maybe Saya looks for an ally now that his father has a child of his own on the way, or maybe Eunseom captures him.
군함도 | The Battleship Island (2017)
Choi Chil-sung/Oh Mal-nyeon: I’d love a scene in an Everybody Lives AU, I’d love them getting to know each other better on the island, them being involved in some little plot, or just about any tender moment between them. It doesn’t need to be very explicit how they feel about each other for me, as long as it’s on the same level as in canon with long stares and emotional intimacy and vulnerability.
Park Moo-young & Choi Chil-sung: We never really see them interacting with each other in canon, which was a grave oversight, in my opinion. I’d love to see them arguing, since I can’t see them getting along initially, or something about them slowly growing to respect each other (perhaps a 5+1 fic).
Park Moo-young & Lee So-hee: I’d love to read about them being cute together, Moo-young adjusting to being responsible for a little girl like So-hee (perhaps after unsuccessfully trying to find someone else to take her in), going to eat noodles and dealing with grief, but I’m also open to any missing scenes from the movie.
60일, 지정생존자 | Designated Survivor: 60 Days
Cha Young-jin/Jung Soo-jung: Their relationship was one of my favourite aspects of the series, specifically because it was relatively understated and also because it managed to be a convincing couple that argues a lot. It worked for me because it was clear that they have the same goal and a lot of mutual respect for each other even when they disagree, and I’d love to see that continue post-series. What will their first date look like? How do they help each other adjust to life outside the Blue House?
Cha Young-jin & Jung Soo-jung & Kim Nam-wook & Park Soo-kyo: Similar to the above, I’d love to see their friendship and how it developed. I’m sure there were some moments we didn’t get to see in the series that would delve deeper into this, but I’d also like to see them work together post-canon, or see them stay friends. We got to see some glimpses of it at the end, and I’d just love to see more of that!
Park Mu-jin: For Park Mu-jin, I’d love to see something that focusses on post-canon, since the series gave me everything I wanted pre-canon and there wasn’t much missing. I’d also love some outsider POV on his presidency a couple of years down the line, or something like an interview or a feature about it. And of course I’d be interested to see if he can be persuaded to run again, or how he made lasting friendships during the series.
Yoon Chan-kyung: With her, I’d like something similar to Park Mu-jin, outsider POV and unusual formats included. I’d also love to see her become president, or otherwise continue with her political career. And I’d like to see her become friends with Mu-jin or Cha Young-jin, especially.
상속자들 | The Heirs
Kim Won: I watched this canon and ended up wanting nothing but fix-it fic for the older brother who treats the main character like shit for most of the series. He’s the one character who gets a really shitty ending, so I’d love to read about him finding a way out of his dilemma, whether with Tan’s help or on his own, whether it ends up with him getting back together with Hyun-joo or not. I’d also like to read about him and Tan being close and cute together.
내 뒤에 테리우스 | My Secret Terrius
Kim Bon/Go Ae-rin: What we got in the series wasn’t really super shippy, and I’d love them finally getting together! I’d also love to read about their spy-hijinks: their mission as a married couple in New York or something else. I’d also love some outsider POV on the weird stuff they get up to, for example the KIS remaining super clueless despite all evidence to the contrary. And of course JunJun are always welcome and humour is very much appreciated!
터널 | Tunnel
Park Gwang-ho: I loved this series right up to the end, when I just wanted Gwang-ho to stay in the future. I’d love anything set in an AU where he stays, whether it’s about him coping with the disappointment with the help of his friends, him adjusting to being the father of a daughter who is the same age as he is, and trying to make a life for himself in 2017.
