whaa. Now my right arm is aching. I just finished working on the photos I took in Italy. 140 more or less, and my arm was in an uncomfortable position. Now I only have to take six photos to get the last film full so it can be developed (I know, most people nowadays use digicams, but I really like the old-fashioned method).

Anyway, I already had the last four films developed, but because [insanejournal.com profile] sevilemar's mum wants them as well (She was too lazy to bring her own camera.), I would have had to copy them anyway so I had them burned on a CD (it cost me 80 fucking Euros), copied them into a folder and manipulated most of them. Mainly converting them to black and white or adding a bit of colour and contrast, that sort of thing. And these came into another folder.

But it really feels good to get some things finished from time to time. Last week was especially productive: Finished both "The State and Labor in Modern Japan" and "Clash of Civilisations" (that one took me five years...) and I started with my essay today. I wrote the introduction, which is already one page, and the whole thing is only supposed to be 15 pages long. I will probably have to make cuts in the end.

But now I have to get back to work for a bit before I go to bed.

Actually, I wasn't too lazy to bring my own camera, it's... more complicated? I like looking at pictures, especially well made pictures like yours often are, but I'm a little camera-shy myself? Not that I don't like being on pictures, it's just... my mum always insisted on documenting every event I've ever been to (and she could sneek in a camera), and then put all the pictures in photo books. She made us collect everything ourselves, once we got old enough. So many embarrasing moments where I had to pester the parents of the kids in my class/ballett class/theatre group/whatever for pictures and video, and I just... got enough of it for a lifetime, you might say. So, yes, I love your pictures, and I love organizing them so it's easy to look at them. I just don't want to take any myself, if I can avoid it.
