• Today is my mother's birthday and she's visiting me at the moment, which is the reason why I've been a bit absent lately. Well, that and the fact that I had a breakdown on Monday thanks to PMS and waiting almost an hour and a half at the doctor's only to be told to come again next week. Oh hell, no!
• My muse is dead. I prodded it and tried to resuscitate, but nothing helped. No new fic or other creative effort from me for a few months at least, it seems. Probably longer.
• I just can't get rid of the two invite codes.
• Watched Slumdog Millionaire yesterday and liked it. It reminded me more of City of God than a Bollywood film. I want the soundtrack.
• Does anyone know why the LibraryThing widget won't work in my profile?
• Were there any good fics written for the H/D Worldcup this year? I have one in my recs, but I gave up on the others after a while.

I can't get rid of my last invite code, apparently - have sent it to two people in the last week, but neither have used it.

Not really. Normally, I write about it and that makes me feel better, but since the muse is very much dead ... yeah, not much fun.

I've been asking around on dw_codesharing, but people either already received a code and forgot to tell there or don't reply to the emails either. You know, that's almost too much hassle for me to bother, which is probably not in the interest of people who still want a code.

Yeah, I'd prefer to hand them off to friends-of, if I can - I'm also dubious about the sharing comm, for various reasons (mostly too vague to outline. Or I'm too lazy. Yeah, that's it).

I gave two codes away to random people on the comm and they didn't use them at all. That's what makes me feel dubious about it. And of course that some people ask for codes for their "friends".

Unfortunately, I'm out of friends.

Yeah, your story is one of the things making me dubious - if someone genuinely wanted to use DW for not-trolling purposes, I'd be more than happy to set them up.

But yay for spending time with your mum! And Slumdog Millionaire was a good film, I agree. It wasn't a GREAT film but very good entertainment with a super soundtrack.

Ironically, I went to the doctor to talk about getting meds to make my PMS a bit less severe. Because breakdowns every second time is not much fun, and neither are the rest of the effects.
