1. Something your favorite character would like

I like to think that Sansa Stark would appreciate my taste in doilies.

2. Something that makes you laugh

My code doesn’t work… I have no idea why | My code works… I have no idea why. (AKA me when I made a bubblesort algorithm work on my first try without any idea WHY)

3. A fandom place you would like to visit

I’d really like to visit the lands of faerie in Carnival Row - mostly to see what architecture would look like if everyone can fly. We only see very little of it in canon, and only during war, so I’d like to visit in peacetime.

4. A fandom creator (pro or not) you'd like to meet

There aren’t really any in that I don't really want to meet any fandom creators in real life, but I missed ConvenientAlias (first person I got assigned two years in a row) and ardentaislinn (I couldn’t make the treat happen for time reasons) last Yuletide. I’d love to talk to them about our favourite canons.

5. Something you find comforting

Like last time, it is time to repost the link to a Youtube video of my cat.

6. Something from a favorite TV series or movie from your childhood

7. A piece of clothing you love

Still the Game of Thrones sweater from last time, still because it’s the warmest sweater I own.

Oh, Carnival Row! I haven't thought about that show in a while, but I remember wondering about how flying would affect the architecture too. Also, I just thought it would be so pretty in peacetime.

I feel like it would make for such beautiful, vertical cities! I wonder if it also creates incentives for beautiful ceilings and walls.

haha, the cat did appreciate it! She was a bit confused, but she's a cuddler. I didn't tell her that it was because of another cat. :D

I think it also means that ceilings and walls are going to be more than ceilings and walls. Like, why put the door on the floor when you could put it up below the ceiling? Or you could hang your bed from the ceiling to save floor space.

Thank you! My mother does not appreciate my doilies because she likes her decor to be less frilly, so I'm always happy when someone likes them!

(She is. I love her to pieces.)

It's not even my favorite song by him, but it's one with a color in the title :P

i had mixed feelings about carnival row but man was it a gorgeous show with some neat lore. everything looked so good and i too wish they'd shown us a little more of faerie.

My feelings are a lot more positive than most people when it comes to the show (not a surprise, considering how much I've written for it), but I don't think I've ever heard a bad word about the look of it, apart from people with ridiculous expectations for TV CGI. I really loved the lore as well, especially since it was something fresh and different for once, rather than yet another adaptation.

i think a lot of my ambivalence was because i don't think cara delevigne is that good of an actress and she and orlando bloom didn't have much chemistry. (which i found surprising to be honest.) but it wasn't hard to get past that because so much of the world was so fascinating and i liked a lot of the other characters and it was just so interesting to look at.
