snowflake_challenge: Challenge #6:
In your own space, post the results of your fandom scavenger hunt.

1. A favorite character
Cassian Andor: I really love him, because he isn’t your typical Star Wars hero type. He is pretty understated, and I really liked that they explored that in the new TV series. Especially in the Narkina 5 arc.

2. Something that makes you laugh:
Whenever I realise how well my cat has trained me.

3. A bookshelf


4. A game or hobby you enjoy:
Stardew Valley: It’s one of my favourite games, and playing it is always very soothing. Steam tells me I’ve spent over 750 hours playing it and that surprised even me.

5. Something you find comforting

6. A TV show or movie you hope more people will watch
Since I’ve already recced Carnival Row earlier, Warrior (the TV series from 2019). It kind of flew under the radar a lot because it started out on a streaming service nobody knows, but it’s really good! It’s the adaptation of a concept by Bruce Lee, so lots of martial arts, set in 19^th century San Francisco.

7. A piece of clothing you love
My Game of Thrones sweater. Because it’s the warmest piece of clothing I own, apart from that one onesie that I can’t wear outdoors.

8. A thing from an old fandom
A Rose of Versailles box set – not pictured on the shelf linked above

9. A thing from a new fandom
Well, relatively new: The World of Ice and Fire, in the top right corner of the photo.

I like your bookcase, it's very unique! I'm also enjoying the exploration of Cassian's backstory in Andor.

I don't feel like staff, since my cat is really caring, alerting me to the fact that it's time to go to bed (to cuddle with her) among other things.

It's actually a number of related bookshelves (imaginatively called "Cube" when I bought them) with one to six square shelves per shelf.

i love those bookcases. so modular and simple, and yet so pretty. also i wanted to reach into the screen and pet your cat because look at all that floof!

That's why I bought them! (They're by a Danish retail chain called Jysk, don't know if you've got it where you live). And yes, the floof is very seductive. She even lets you bury your head it in with nothing more than a disapproving huff.

Those are straw stars - a traditional German Christmas decoration. I was a bit late when it came to taking them down.

The patterns seem pretty different, but I guess the principle is more or less the same - you weave with straw (and some thread). Also, I think the straw used for straw stars is usually dry.
