☞ ficondemand hosts a First Kiss Comment Fic Meme. I would love to participate, but I can't write anything halfway decent in English at the moment, fictionwise. I can, however, rec One Mad Moment by lemposoi, which is Jeeves/Wooster. It also has two Velvet Goldmine oneshots!

☞ Does anyone know if Robert Silverberg is against fanfic? I found a SFF anthology today that I originally bought because it contained a Lord John short story by Diana Gabaldon. The other authors? George R. R. Martin, Orson Scott Card and Robin Hobb. And Silverberg. I sense a pattern there, but I couldn't find any info on Silverberg.

☞ I've been watching old (well, old by internet years) shows lately. Among them The Middleman which is funny and adorable, and The Black Donnellys, which is awesome. I have a thing for stories about brothers and crime. Both were cancelled after one season, sadly. I also watched Im Angesicht des Verbrechens, which is actually quite good but feels somehow raw and unfinished in places. I have no idea what exactly we needed the whole "destined to be together" subplot for – the getting together would have worked just fine without that.

☞ Do you have any recs for long, plotty original slash about adults? I have a craving for it but I don't know how to find them. I defaulted to RPF AUs, but it's just not the same.

No recs here either, sorry^^ But hey, you watched The Middleman? I did too and I could talk Ingo into it (well, all it took was "It's good trash and funny as hell", but hey). And we also took a trip down (internet) memory lange and are watching Babylon 5 as well at the moment. I'm so totally in love with that series! We're at the beginning of series 4 now and I am very reluctant to watch because every episode means we're one episode closer to the end. Well, can't be helped, I guess.

I've only watched a few episodes of Babylon 5 on TV so far, but nothing that would really draw me in. It's probably a series that you have to see from the beginning.

Only occasionally. Most of the time, the writing style annoys me. I get that people are trying to imitate the original author, but I simply have no patience for it.

You definitely have to see Babylon 5 from the beginning, otherwise you loose almost all of the fun. When I have my own boxsets, we can do that together someday, if you like^^

I have subscribed to that community, but most of the stories don't register on my radar because of the header format, I think. Thanks for reminding me of Bait & Hook, it sounds interesting.
