Dear Chocolatier,
2019-01-04 07:42 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
first of all, I hope you'll have fun making something for me! I hope this letter gives you some idea of what I like about the canons, characters and pairings I requested and also maybe some idea where to start.
Generally speaking, I like canon-flavour stories/art that are maybe a bit lighter in tone than some of the more sad/violent canons on this list, but if you stick to the level of darkness/sadness/fluff that is present in canon, you should be safe. The same goes for anything that might need a warning (violence, character death, underage, etc.) - if it's a part of canon, or a reasonable extrapolation (*cough*Game of Thrones*cough*), knock yourself out if that is what you want to write. The only things that I really do not want is detailed depictions of depression and alcoholism. But other than that, I really don't have any hard DNWs (except for a few canon-specific ones you'll find below/in the sign-up).
My AO3-name is
Rodo, by the way.
The Alienist (TV): Laszlo/Mary, Sara/John, Sara & Jon, Sara/Mary
Fandom-specific DNW: Laszlo/John
Laszlo/Mary: Mostly, I really want fix-it for these two, but I'd also be interested to find out how Mary fell for Laszlo, despite his prickliness and all that. What was life like for her, living in his household? And what would happen if she had survived the fall? I think Laszlo would probably be angsty about it and she'd have to help him get through that. I'd really like to see Mary helping him to become more functional, while their relationship helps her to be more sure of herself.
Sara/John, Sara & John: So, what was it like for John and Sara when they knew each other while her father was alive? Did Sara maybe have a little crush on him that he never found out about? What was it like after he died? I'd like to think that John tried to help but failed. And I'd like to see their romance or friendship unfold post-canon. I have a feeling that in their group, they're the outsiders, since Sara is a woman and John not a policeman or forensic expert. Maybe they'll bond over that?
Sara/Mary: I really liked how they were a little antagonistic in canon, and I'd love to see them getting to know and like each other in an AU where Mary lives. I think they have more in common than they think and would work really well as a couple.
Babylon Berlin: Gereon/Charlotte, Svetlana/Alexej
Gereon/Charlotte: So, I love how everything about them is messed up and complicated, and yet they're still undeniably attracted to each other. I'd love to read about Gereon looking for comfort after the revelations from the finale, or when he finds out about his brother's wife and Nyssen, and going to Charlotte. Or both of them reminiscing about what happened in the show and it just escalating. Or maybe even a quickie on their first case post-season-2.
Svetlana/Alexej: There's just so much you could write about those two. You could go pre-canon and explore how they met and how their relationship developed, or you could write that confrontation that was hinted at at the end in Paris. There was just so much tension there in the end and I'd like to see it resolved in some way, even if it ends in death.
PS: If it's not against the rules, feel free to write the fic in German if you want to!
Game of Thrones: Sansa/Trystane, Missandei/Grey Worm, Catelyn/Ned, Talisa/Robb
Sansa/Trystane: These two never meet in canon even though they would probably be perfect for each other. You could write/draw an AU where their marriage is arranged by their parents and they meet as kids or one where they both survive canon events and meet eventually, maybe? Honestly, I mostly want to see them being cute together.
Missandei/Grey Worm: Another couple that I just really enjoy being cute together, mostly because they are so adorable in canon. Maybe they could meet again before the last battle and talk about what a future they want with each other, or some more of Missandei taking care of a wounded Grey Worm.
Catelyn/Ned: These two are my OTP for this series, and I'd like pretty much anything about them, although I do have a preference for AUs or the later part of their marriage, where they're already in love, and fics that deal with the insecurities they both have: Catelyn with the presence of her husband's bastard and the feeling that she isn't enough because he loved another that much, and Ned feeling like a bad replacement for his brother. As for art: a quiet moment together.
Talisa/Robb: I'd most like an AU where one or both of them live past the Red Wedding, but if you want to write/draw a missing scene, that's fine too. I'm a bit of a sucker for people doing ill-advised things out of love, so this pairing works really well for me. Other than that, you could include something about them being from very different cultural backgrounds, something about Talisa's family, or them dealing with ruling Winterfell after everything is over.
Rivers of London: Abigail & Nightingale, Abigail & Varvara, Beverley/Peter, Foxglove & Peter, Molly & Foxglove
Fandom-specific DNW: Peter/Nightingale
Abigail & Nightingale, Abigail & Varvara: I'd like something about either or both of them teaching Abigail about magic, since I liked the glimpses we got of it in Lies Sleeping. It seems there's a bit of a struggle going on over who has more influence, and I really like that Abigail just does her own thing instead of taking sides.
Beverley/Peter: I really like these two as a couple, so I'd love something set after the latest book that deals with the fallout from it, both the pregnancy and how they (and their families) will deal with it, and something where they figure out how to make everything work, since Peter ends up kind of in limbo. I'd also love Peter dealing with riverine politics and both of them dealing with a small case together (and off the books).
Foxglove & Peter, Foxglove & Molly: So, Foxglove is just adorable. I love what we saw of her interactions with Peter and Molly, and I'd like more of that. Maybe Peter will finally find someone who appreciates his nuanced view of architecture? Maybe he takes her to a museum and they talk about art? Maybe she asks him to model again? As for Molly: are they sisters or friends? How do families even work for their kind? How do they feel about being reunited and what do they get up to together?
Rogue One: Cassian & Galen, Cassian/Jyn
Fandom-specific DNW: Cassian and Jyn with anyone but each other
Cassian & Galen: I'd really love to see these two interact, whether in an AU where both of them lived or in an AU where they ran across each other while Cassian was undercover. Or maybe an AU where Cassian was sent to kill Galen under different circumstances. Does he go through with it or not?
Cassian/Jyn: So, these two are my OTP for this canon and there's very little you could write that I wouldn't like. Missing scenes, AUs within the canon setting of every kind imaginable, them working out their feelings for each other in the afterlife – I'll read everything. I even like other sorts of AUs for them, provided it's not too mundane (highschool, college, doctors, shop!AUs of every kind, that sort of thing), and somewhat similar to the canon plot. WWI or WWII AUs, Cold War Spies AU, both of them fighting organised crime – I'll read it.
