LJ Strikethrough Follow Up

Okay, so I guess this is a big setback for fandom in general on LJ:

Over on lj_biz, the LJ staff posted a clarification regarding their new TOS. An excerpt:

This includes threats of physical harm against the President or other executive officers, child pornography (photos or videos), or other material -- including drawings and text -- that explicitly depicts minors under the age of 18 (real or not) in a graphic sexual context. Or, in other words: Romeo and Juliet is okay. Teens talking about their experiences with sex is okay. Smut focused on a twelve year old is not okay.

In other words, no Harry Potter porn. Or sex scenes involving at least one person under the age of 18. I suppose this also applies to a lot of other fandoms.

So, does anybody now good alternatives for a LJ?

And does anybody else think the timing is a bit of a coincidence, especially since a lot of HP fans are staying clear of the internet for a moment?

11:10 ETA 2: In another recent post, burr86 clarified a few things. Now it seems that while stories including sex scenes with minors would not necessarily be a problem, PWPs still would. And it is quite open to interpretation. (also spoiler-infested)

14:18 ETA 3: Apparently, LJ thinks icons with pictures of women who breastfeed are obscene, including classical art. jesurgislac linked this post to me.

23.07 ETA 4: violet_quill posted this at her journal. It calmed me down a bit, but I am still waiting for an official statement.
