Two in One

rodoSeems like I haven't updated in ages. Again.
This time, there's a simple reason for that: I was busy.
During November, most of my time was taken up by writing my NaNo story. Since it was my first time, I did not quite know what to expect, and I had not planned anything in advance at all. I did not even think I might win, I only wanted to get over my massive writer's block. So I wrote, and wrote, and wrote, and I even won. The story isn't finished yet (I stopped at about 52000 words, lazy me), but it might turn out to be really good once/if I finish the second draft.
Anyway, because I want to show off:
I guess I'll try again next year as well. It was a lot of fun and I met some nice people.
Of course, university caught up with me in December and I had various projects to work on. Two of them were projects for my course in photo journalism, which is really great because it's one of the few courses including practical work. The first of them is up on my website already, and the next two will be put up as soon as I get back to LE (I'm at my mum's at the moment). I also reworked that part of the site to make it easier for people to navigate. Took me a whole weekend, but it was worth it.
And of course, I finally migrated over here. I exported most of my LJ entries and made everything but the latest entry over at LJ friends-only. I've had enough of it and sincerely hope IJ is going to be better. The birthday e-mail I got today seemed nice enough, at least.
Ah yes, today's my birthday, by the way. Not that I'm doing much, today's supposed to be rather quiet, since tomorrow is New Year's Eve already, and yesterday we went to the North Sea to take a walk there. I love the North Sea, especially in the winter. It's freezing and so windy I can hardly see a thing because most of my hair gets blown into my face, but I love it anyway. I guess that's a sign that I am a true Northern German. I don't like the sea much during summer. Weird, I know, but it's true.
Apart from that, this year's Christmas holidays have been much like the last and the ones before the last. So I don't have anything more to tell, except that I'm going to write a bit more of my NaNovel now.
