Do you read stories and watch series of any kind in German at all? I think that caused some other people here to develop the Do Not Want reaction. They're just no used to it. I think I feel like that when I try to talk about gardening or cooking with English language people. It doesn't feel wrong per se but rather alien because I am not used to talk about these topics with anyone but Germans.
