Go and edit that article!!! Chances are that I, uh, wrote/started it, and I suck :>
So do I. And I've wanted to edit the Boldthrough article for ages as well because it basically doesn't exist, but I feel insecure about writing in English. If I didn't, I would edit like crazy.
But really, what about teaming up with the people doing ficathon_de, suggesting that kind of challenge? I know it's hard to establish something like that on one's own, so why not synergize and use existing ressources?
I don't know them well enough and I am kind of shy. I mean, I do know lenija, but I haven't talked to khana in over two years and I don't know the third one at all. I know I liked the Wünsche Wochen a lot, but that was rather short notice and not really as organised (and would haven been more fun on DW with the higher character limit).
...There seem to be quite a few who 'left' (or rather, just drifted out of German fandom, into the beautiful plenty of English-speaking fandom.) Just my very subjective impression, though, from randomly talking to people here and there.
I think a survey would probably be interesting. I know I sometimes meet people on ff.de or LJ who are active in both fandoms, but I have no idea how many are active in what way in which fandom.
she brought it up again in our meeting yesterday. And it's so good to hear so much support for the feature request, it makes it a lot easier for us to argue for it to coders if we can show how excited people are!
I didn't miss a meeting again, did I? And I think most translation volunteers would be excited. All we would need to celebrate this is a challenge to translate fic.
