Ah, so it's not just a stereotype about Germans being accurate and precise to the point of being pedantic! :D The language certainly has to reflect the national mentality.

I wouldn't be so sure. I heard French is rather precise as well. And you evidently never had to deal with German workers. But German has prefixes for verbs that sometimes have to be used to indicate in which direction something moves and a lot of words just aren't as ambiguous as English words.

To me too. I think most of them are afraid of badfic, slash and OMG what are you doing to my babies!!! And then there's this whole misinformation about getting sued by ficwriters.
