Snowflake Challenge #4 Make a Wish

Challenge #4: In your own space, make a list of things that you wish existed in fandom or elsewhere, and/or that you'd like someone to create or do for you.

1. I just want Carnival Row to have a fandom. Any fandom, I don’t even care if it’s relevant to my interest. Even the person who keeps posting wacky AUs that are very much not my thing makes me feel less lonely, just by posting.

2. I wish it were easier to find a beta, so if you’re up to it, join betaplease, make a ff.net beta profile or respond to requests you see elsewhere. Or check out my Looking for a Beta post (there’s currently only a Musketeers fic on it.)

3. Is there a DW comm for Korean dramas? Or any place that’s free and asynchronous where you can discuss Korean dramas like an adult?

While I don't know Carnival Row, I can totally relate to the feeling where there's no fandom for something, so I hope that can be granted!

At least someone else requested it for Chocolate Box this year. Maybe they'll get a treat.

My sympathies. I've lost count of the number of times I've thought "I just want X to have a fandom."

Carnival Row was an incredibly entertaining show. I'm sorry it looks like we're not going to get a second season as originally promised. :(

Really? Last I heard, the filming for the second season wrapped. There were just endless delays because of Covid. Did I miss something?

I don‘t think there is a comm for Korean dramas yet. Some people talk about Kdramas a little in c_ent which is a pretty newish comm for anything related to Chinese media. A lot of people are into Kdramas over there too. There is a weekly chat/rec post which you might check out.

Thank you for the rec, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be for me. I rarely watch Chinese dramas, and there's hardly any Korean drama content over there. I'm happy fans of Chinese media seem to have found their niche, though.

You might find/ask for some fellow fans to make a community on your own though. Or at least find some people to friend who are into the stuff you are. Good luck!

I DL'd Carnival Row but never watched it. I'm wondering now if it was before I got my new laptop and had to save everything to an external drive. I wonder if it's still there?!! o_O
