If you haven't heard about it, CopyrightX is an online course about American copyright that is offered by the Harvard Law School. It's free, open to absolutely anyone over the age of 13, who can pass the English test in the sign-up and who has an internet connection that can deal with a Zoom conference. It lasts for several weeks from late January to May, and it's 1 Youtube lecture, 1-3 readings and one 90 minute Zoom meeting (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, depending on what timeslots you're available for) per week, and it's more or less like a university course. At the end, you can even take a voluntary exam and earn a certificate. More information on the sign-up page here:

I did it this year, and I thought it was super fun! Don't worry if you're not a lawyer and not from the US. I am neither, and I got accepted, as did several others from my course, and I didn't feel as if not being a lawyer put me at a disadvantage at all. I didn't even write a particularly good "Why I want to do this" mini-essay. If you're interested in US copyright and would like to take a deeper look at it, or just if you think it might be fun, you could give it a try.

Sign-ups are open until November 30th, so you don't have to decide right now.
