rodoSo, I've been watching a lot of TV series lately, and since there are new episodes of my favourites, I decided to write about them all. Beware of the spoilers:
Bones
I'm really starting to like Bones, even though I would have preferred it if Angela and Hodgens stayed together. I especially like the interns of the week. Plus, the pilot episode of the new season starred Indira Varma.
Heroes
Ahh, Heroes, what am I to do with you? The last season was horrible. And this season ... I don't know what to make of it yet. Mohinder seems to have undergone a personality transplant. I love Tracy (and that they finally killed someone). I am not too keen on Nathan's newfound faith, Hiro is being an asshole, and the whole Sylar plotline might either turn out awesome or so bad it hurts. I want more Elle, and less Claire (whom I started to hate, I don't know why). At least Matt is still Matt.
Oh, and the German (guess where he came from) was killed in episode three and was a villain. Go figure.
Merlin
Well, the BBC's new series about, well, Merlin and Arthur when they were still young (I'm eagerly awaiting the slash fic). Anthony Head (Giles from Buffy) plays the evil king and does a good job so far. The story is pretty generic fantasy, but I really like the character of Merlin.
Prison Break
Yes, I'm still watching that. And I like the new season so far. I just pretend the last one didn't happen, and since the whole conspiracy thing started in season two the show hasn't been particularily realistic. I don't mind. Oh, and I really want some Sucre/Bellick slash. They are so cute together.
Sons of Anarchy
A new series about a bunch of bikers in a Californian town. Love the actors (Hi there, Peggy Bundy), the characters and the story. Not much else to say.
Supernatural
Dean's back (What a surprise), and now he has to stop Lilith from freeing Lucifer. He isn't thrilled, and the angel who pulled him out of hell won't take no for an answer. And Sam's ... well, I'm a bit afraid he might have done something really stupid when he started using his powers. All in all, I really like the new season. And Bobby's panic room. Why doesn't every hunter have one? It sure as hell beats a car, no matter how lovely she looks.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
The new season is okay so far, but Shirley Manson's accent ... it irritates me somehow. Oh, and the latest episode ... I swear I read that fic somewhere.
True Blood
A new series, based on books, and it's about vampires. I like it anyway (I'm not a vampire fan). It's dark, there's too much sex (yes, it's a bit annoying), but I really think the setting and the two lead actors (Anna Paquin!) are doing a great job portraying the only two characters except the grandmother who haven't hat sex yet. I only hope the show stays this way, but I am a bit sceptical because I've been told the books become very suey.
