Especially considering that I thought she did a good job on Mildmay's distinguished speech pattern without this. She also often started sentences with verbs and used "an" instead of "if". Which I understood, after all it's more or less the same in German (well, I like leaving out the subjects), but it still seemed forced and artificial to me.
