For those of you on my flist who like Harry Potter fanfiction: If don't know the community already, please take a look at
hp_beholder. It's a fic exchange for rare pairings and characters that are not too popular. I'm generally a slash fan, but this is the community that makes me read het and femslash.
Below the cut, you will find the links to the three stories I loved from this year's exchange:

Below the cut, you will find the links to the three stories I loved from this year's exchange:
- A Murmur – Sybill Trelawney/Minerva MacGonagall – Sybil finds herself loving Minerva more than Minerva ever thought she could allow. NC-17, 1400 words
The reason why I loved this story so much is because to me, it seemed so natural. I could even overlook the missing "l" in Sybill's name, and I generally really dislike misspelled character names. - Beautiful – Arthur Weasley/Molly Weasley – From the moment he saw her, Arthur knew there was something special about Molly Prewett. PG-13, 2300 words
This story made me cry. Arthur and his geekiness were just adorable, and I liked how it managed to be the story of a one true love without being melodramatic about it. - There Are Days I Wish I Lived in a Romance Novel (But This Isn't One of Them) – Neville Longbottom/Millicent Bulstrode – In a cluttered workshop and amid the rambunctious denizens of his greenhouse, Neville Longbottom discovers that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. Now he only has to convince Millicent Bulstrode. PG-13, 6875 words
I have no idea how to say what makes me like this story. Maybe it's the characters that are so human or the fact that the story is so not dramatic. Maybe it's both.
