☞ I'm officially tired of kink meme fics. Am I the only one? Am I weird? I see everywhere at the moment, and I'm really longing for plotty fic with romance and non-explicit sex scenes. Or no sex scenes at all! I think I overdosed or something.

☞ I really hope ficathon_de will decide for DW. I decided not to post fic on LJ anymore (my stupid principles tend to be very persistent), so I wouldn't participate on LJ and I don't think using both would work.

☞ Rec: Captive Prince by freece. Summary: Damen is the true heir to the throne, but when his half brother seizes power, Damen is captured, stripped of his identity and sent to serve the Prince of a rival nation as a pleasure slave. It doesn't sound like much, but I am very much in love with the story. So I rec in, even though it has been recced a lot already.

I overdosed on sex-scenes a long time ago. now and then, I can read PWP, but I'm usually looking for the plot and scrolling over Sex-scenes, just reading the dialogue... definitely not just you. but I usually just ignore the memes floating around...

so far, I don't know what we'll do about DW. A problem probably is that the mods are split in the opinion, as well. (Or we would have just moved without asking anyone, or something...) so far, LJ:DW is 12:8, which has a "winner" but is really not unanimous (? is that the word I'm thinking of? einstimmig.) enough. Aaaaah, I don't know, I don't know!

Will add that o-fic to my 'to read'-folder. there's not a lot of original stuff there, so it's always wellcome. thanks! :)

I go through phases, sometimes I want PWP and sometimes gen. But this time it's really weird because everyone seems to be doing kink memes and talks about them and I just can't care. At all.

WORD! I wouldn't be as annoyed if these fics were actually kinky. But most of them are silly fluff and randomness with one badly written sex scene in the middle. I's like a formula. And then there is all the dub-con and non-con. Maybe it's because of the Merlin fandom but now I see it everywhere and I do not like.

Sometimes I get the feeling that far too many people in fandom think that kinky = non/dub-con. With a bit of BDSM, maybe. Maybe Harry Potter fandom spoiled me, but to me those elements do not make a story kinky at all.

Well, non/dub-con is a kink of mine, as is BDSM. But I'm with you that it's blown a bit out of proportion in these "kink"-memes (well, I've just seen a House-kink-meme and one rps, but well...).

Will look at fic as soon as I can (have downloaded the e-book you were talking about so passionately, will look at that first).

Oh gawd, there's going to be 35 chapters? Pls rec again if it ever gets finished - I did start reading it, but WIPs practically never work for me; I get bored with the story before it's done.
