... and there lies the problem: I can't decide on a name. At first I thought Dusky because she has the same colours as the dusk in these parts. But her mother's humans called her Pünktchen because of the little dot on the tip of her tail (the kittens looked so much alike that that was the defining characteristic). I like that one too - in English I suppose it would be "dotty" or "little dot", but less grandma-ish.
Help?

Date: 2013-05-31 04:28 pm (UTC)I'm really not good at naming, though - thought about naming my two Kali and Eris, but didn't want to go through with it because, well, better not invite trouble. *cough* Called them Silk and Honey instead, but don't actually call them that. It's mostly "little one" and "big one", or one of the countless silly nicknames I make up on the spot.
My dad and my stepmother have got a Pünktchen and an Anton (both tomcats) - and the name Pünktchen went to the one who doesn't have that little dot on his tail. They thought it was funny. *g*

Date: 2013-05-31 04:48 pm (UTC)OK, names. Dusky is good. Dot would be super cute, I think. I also like slightly unusual, cute human names for pets, like Sadie, Rose, Ginger (my cat's name, though I didn't realize at the time that in much of the English-speaking world that's also the word for her color), etc.
sooooooo cute.
