rodo: chuck on a roof in winter (being human)

I am so in love with Being Human *squee*.

I know the show’s premise sounds a bit like a bad joke (So a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost walk into a bar…), but it’s very adorable, promise. Especially George, the neurotic werewolf. Hell, I even like the vampire.

A lot of things were changed, and the only George (Russell Tovey) is left of the main cast of the pilot. However, I like the new actors. I still miss the old ones, but I think the new Mitchell does a good job. I’m a bit undecided when it comes to Annie, because I preferred the old Annie’s personality, even though the new Annie is a lot easier to understand, for one (and I thought I’d got the hang of British accents). I think her interaction with George works better as well.

The vampires were less cliché and thus much creepier. It’s probably because I don’t buy the Anne Rice version of vampires, so the nice and rather unremarkable policeman works for me.

I'm trying, trying so hard, to get into the new actors. I'm having real troubles with Annie -- the other one was actually ghostly, which seems like an important thing when you cast a ghost -- but Mitchell might grow on me. I did like the further development of the vampire society, that will keep me interested. I'll definitely keep watching for more eps.

But George is fantastic! Like someone else on my flist said, if nothing else it's the Russell Tovey Appreciation Hour. ;)

I have a thing for werewolves anyway, so I kind of expected to love George. But Russell Tovey makes him so much more adorable than I ever hoped for. I think if they had replaced him it would have been far worse for the series.

Russell T. Ovey (as Russell T. Davies calls him) makes everything so much more adorable! <3

And agreed -- I don't think they'd have been able to do this without him. I just really don't understand why they replaced the other two. They were perfect!

(Hope I can post this, IJ is timing out.)

I have to say I love the new actors. Mitchell needs a new haircut (sharpish!), but Annie is rather sweet.

I had to laugh out loud a few times when George went on one of his rants. I loved the scene where Mitchell calls him a spy. "You must have had training."

Is the new police man Henryk? I was confused about that. But the hot suit guy is still the same as in the pilot, am I right?

The intro was a bit long but I was pleasantly surprised by this episode. Oh and that hospital room where suit!guy tried to bite the patient was probably some kind of closet. Have you ever seen a sing room (in a hospital!) this small?

Seth (suit!guy) is the same, but they changed a lot about Herrick (he was played by Adrian Lester in the pilot).

And well, the hospital rooms I've seen weren't particularly big, and I've never seen a single room. Maybe they're smaller?
