☞ Okay, so my computer crashed. I finally ruined the poor thing. Anyway, I had to buy a new one, and I still haven't managed to save my data and install all my programs. Hopefully soon. Also: Vista looks pretty, but is a bit difficult to handle.
☞ Supernatural keeps being awesome. Dean kind of liked wearing pink ladies' underwear. I am now convinced that he has done every kinky thing he could come up with. And loved every minute of it. On the other hand, I seem to be the only one who was not convinced by Jared Padalecki's performance as Lucifer. I really don't think he's a good actor. And Lucifer himself hasn't convinced me one bit. I could take apart all his arguments without even trying and his issues are so cliché. *sigh* I hope they'll work on it. No sympathy for the devil from my end.
But luckily there's Cas to more than make up for all this. Even though fan reactions about him tend to confuse me a lot. Was it ever stated in canon that angels didn't like swearing or something? Because people seemed to be surprised by that. I wasn't. I simply thought angels didn't have the feelings and thoughts that required swearwords or *gasp* blasphemy. But then again I never understood why "taking the Lord's name in vain" is a bad thing. Those may be the same words, but they don't generally mean the same things. They're just expressions. And I don't think angels are religious. Why would they need to behave so very Christian? Angels have a very different view of things, I'd imagine. I liked Buddhist!Cas from the future.
I suppose my atheist/agnostic self is showing. Which reminds me: I should keep reading the Bible. Finished the Book of Judges (rather bloodthirsty) a while ago and the Book of Ruth is really short (like, four pages short). After that it shouldn't be long until I can start on the epic love story of David and Jonathan.
☞ New and better computer means finally being able to play videogames I wanted to play for a long time. Which is what I've been doing, since my beta is still working on my stories and I don't feel like starting anything new while so much is unfinished. Anyway, I'm playing Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which will probably keep me busy for a while. If anyone has recs for games that don't require more than a 2,1 GHz processor, I'm all ears.
☞ The current season of Heroes is actually somewhat okay. They introduced a new character, who had a lovely scene with her powers (seeing sounds - she's deaf) and who seems a) likable, b) normal and c) like someone who could have an interesting storyline. I'm fearing she's meant to be Peter's new love interest, though.
☞ Today is our national holiday. I just had Merkel's speech on (mute - because I can't keep my mind on whatever she's saying for more than half a sentence anyway), but I'm really, really unenthusiastic about it. Maybe it's the somber organ music my neighbour is playing. Maybe it's the election results. Four years of CDU/CSU and FDP in power is looking so great right now. *sigh* At least the people in my village voted for the left parties with an overwhelming majority (not really news, we are a leftist enclave). Shows that there are some sane people left, and maybe the results will mean that the Linke will finally be accepted as an existing political party. With possibly constructive ideas! Only took, what, twenty years?
